Lisa F. Legros, Ontario Vice-Regional Representative on the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Committee (ACFC) spoke to more than 350 delegates at the Cystic Fibrosis Annual General Meeting in Canada’s capital.

“I was honored by the invitation of the organizing committee to speak about “CF & Exercise”, says Lisa, VP-CFO of LiveEventRegistration.ca and GolfRegistration.ca.  “The topic was very fitting with the overall theme of the Conference, Living Longer with CF.  Also the fact that it was the 50th anniversary of the CF Foundation made it that much more special to me” affirms Lisa.

The Adult Cystic Fibrosis Committee (ACFC) is a standing committee of the Foundation. Members include adults with cystic fibrosis who represent different regions across the country, a representative from the Foundation’s Medical/Scientific Advisory Committee, and a professional advisor. The committee provides perspective and advice on CF-related issues, and advocates for public policies and programs to help people with cystic fibrosis. Members also foster and support an engaged and knowledgeable CF community.

The ACFC is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of adults with CF in Canada. Established in 1988.  “We are excited to have Miss Legros on board, and look forward to working with her”, says Mrs. Katie Murray - Coordinator, Community Relations and Resources for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, from Toronto.

Lisa F.
